Charlotte Selver Oral History and Book Project

The purpose of the Charlotte Selver Oral History and Book Project
is to create for the first
time a detailed biography
of Charlotte Selver's life and an oral history of people
who have been touched by her and her work.
This web site reflects the progress of the project,
which was launched
in January of 2008,
though its beginnings go back to 1999,
when I interviewed Charlotte Selver extensively
with this in mind.
New content is being added regularly,
some of which will be accessible
to supporters of the project through the Members page.
There you can see a log of my activities, excerpts (audio and transcripts)
of the work in progress as well as archival documents.
A project like this is not possible without the support of many.
I am very grateful for the trust and tremendous generosity of
Markell Brooks
and for the vital contributions of
the
Sensory Awareness Foundation,
who's support includes fiscal sponsorship for the project.
Heartfelt thanks go to the many other private donors.
As Charlotte would say: "Without you, nothing – with you, everything!"
Thank you!
Stefan Laeng-Gilliatt
